The Building Permit Unit is part of the Community Planning Administration in the new operation of environment, planning, and construction. Our office is located in pleasant premises in central Borlänge, close to public transport. Currently, there is an opportunity to work partially remotely.

At the Building Permit Unit, we have a dynamic group consisting of a unit manager, building permit administrators, developers/investigators, and administrators. Currently, the workgroup consists of 11 employees, and now you have the chance to become one of two building permit administrators and play a key role in our team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an administrator in the building permit department, you will play a central role within a team of 11 colleagues. You will work closely with a fellow administrator with similar tasks. It may also be relevant to collaborate with other administrators within the organization, further benefiting effective cooperation.
Your work includes, among other things, registering and filing incoming documents and ensuring that the information in the cases is correct. You will also handle decision management where you announce and dispatch decisions digitally and physically, be responsible for invoicing and statistics, and manage archives where you weed and archive cases. The role includes being particularly knowledgeable in operational systems and routines to support case handlers. Finally, you will handle confidentiality assessments of public documents requested by individuals, media, and companies.
In summary, the position offers a dynamic work environment where you contribute to effective operations and correct handling of cases.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements for the position:
- Post-secondary education, for example, in public administration or other education deemed equivalent by the employer, or documented experience of at least 2 years.
- Swedish, very good in both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent office support programs.
It is advantageous if you have:
- good knowledge of the Local Government Act, Administrative Procedure Act, Planning and Building Act, etc.
- previous experience working in the operational system ByggR/Nova Bygg.
- good English speaking and writing skills.
- experience working in financial systems and the digital archive system Iipax ags.
- experience in administration within public operations, authority exercise, and archiving.
To succeed in the role, you need to be meticulous, structured, and enjoy administrative work. You should be comfortable handling many questions simultaneously and be able to work independently and purposefully to achieve both the unit's goals and your own.
You are service-oriented and appreciate collaboration and helping out even when the pace is high. Flexibility and the willingness to learn new things are prerequisites, especially since we are an organization in development.
You are good at problem-solving and adapting, which allows you to handle difficult situations effectively. You are also skilled at building relationships and communicating, which helps create a good work environment and provide excellent service.

In connection with the interview, you as a candidate need to present proof of citizenship in Sweden/EU/EES or a valid work residence permit.
